Q: Can I use a veterinary degree in missions?

A: Yes.

Answer from Jack Voelkel, Urbana\'s Missionary-in-Residence, who has hundreds of answers online http://www.urbana.org/ns.aj.main.cfm
You will find that a number of mission agencies operate farms or send personnel to farming areas to show nationals better patterns of agriculture and animal husbandry. Two entities come to mind: World Concern http://www.worldconcern.org and Food for the Hungry http://www.fh.org

I would also strongly urge you to consider coming to the Urbana Convention. There you will be able to ask your questions to a incredibly large number of agencies, large and small, about your particular interest in animals.

Editor\'s note: also browse http://www.mfinder.org > Veterinary for links online to agencies.

Also contact Christian Veterinary Mission: www.cvmusa.org.

Finally, read the amazing story of Dr Tracey Goen: www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2005/november/31.82.html.
