Q: How can I use my marketing degree in missions?

A: Three Options

Answer from Adam in Florida, who has served with YouthHOPE in Malawi, Zambia, Cambodia, Chile, Thailand for 3 years.
1. Business as Missions: Go to a creative access country and get a job based on your degree and experience and then simply live out your faith.
2. Partner with a mission organization and help advance their recruiting/awareness.
3. Move to a developing country and work with nationals-- teaching them about business. You could partner with a business or entrepreneurial school started by missionaries and add needed expert teaching.

A: Sell books

Answer from Ed in Ghana, who has served with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana for 35 years.
Work with a Christian book publisher that specializes in books for mission fields. Bible societies in many countries need marketing directors or managers, for example. Writing and translating the books does nothing if they are not sold and read.
